On Thursday, November 14th, the first annual Family Fair is taking place in the BC Children’s Hospital Shaughnessy Auditorium from 12 – 4 pm. The goal of the fair is to promote awareness of family support services and programs at BC Children’s & BC Women’s Hospitals, so come and learn about the Family Support & Resource Centre, Sunny Hill Education Resource Centre, the Family Support Coordinator, Patient & Family Education, Partners in Care, Spiritual Care, Aboriginal Health, Youth Health, Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre, and the Provincial Language Service.
The Partners in Care Family Centered Care Awards will also be held at the Family Fair from 1 – 1:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend – staff, patients and families. There will be food, prizes, and loads of useful information.
The week of the Family Fair (Nov 14-18), you’ll notice TVs around the hospitals playing a DVD with information about some of the departments exhibiting at the Family Fair.
