Permission Slips for Young People's Concert  - please sign and return by TOMORROW November 1, 2012

 

Art Cards due back to school FRIDAY, November 2nd, even if you are not ordering them. If you are not placing an order, the card will still be returned to YOU!

 

We Scare Hunger Food Bank items - will be collected all this week 

 - The Me to We Team hope to collect 1 pound of food for each student in the school!

 

Book Fair - November 6, 7, and 8 - Tuesday, Wednesday,  and Thursday next week!

We finally have enough drivers for skating!! Thank you!!

Our first trip to Interior Savings Centre is this Tomorrow, Nov. 1st, leaving the school at 12:30pm and returning by 2:30pm

Social Studies - Presentations on Canada Remembers Times, Veterans' Week Special Edition will be on Thursday, November 8th and Friday November 9th - students have the scoring rubric and will be given class time to work on this project. Their job is to teach the article they chose to the class.

 A note was also sent home today about the upcoming parent - teacher interviews.  Here is an extra copy of the note:

 

As you already know, Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th will be early

dismissal days. The students will be at school from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Recess will be at its

usual time, but the students will not have lunch at school those days.

The afternoons will be used for the first set of formal Parent/Teacher interviews. I would like to meet with all parents/guardians at this time. Please take some time to sign up for a time.

There will be a schedule posted on our classroom door.

I am also available for morning interviews this week and next week from 7:45 - 8:15. If

this time slot works better for you, please call me at school or e-mail me at (mohrling@sd73.bc.ca) to schedule an interview. I will also be willing to conduct telephone interviews if you absolutely cannot make it into the school.

Please note that communication between home and school will be ongoing throughout the

year. I am happy to schedule future meetings on an as needed basis.

I am looking forward to meeting with everyone.
